Press Release – For immediate release
The app designed to get people physically active through virtual challenges, StepTribe, will be part of the 4YFN event in Barcelona from 28 February to 3 March 2022.
UK-based StepTribe recently launched their new virtual physical activity challenges app on both the AppStore and GooglePlay. Research shows that people are more willing to take part in physical activity when working with friends, family or colleagues. That’s why StepTribe allows users to create a Tribe with whom to complete their challenge. Tribes can create and complete a virtual walking challenge to and from anywhere in the world, within their own timeframe, and the app cleverly shows their progress.
All steps from members of the Tribe count towards the challenge encouraging everyone to be more physically active with a leaderboard encouraging users to strive to do more steps!
Coming later in 2022 will be a sponsorship platform enabling users to be sponsored for their favorite charity or good cause that again encourages further participation and increased levels of physical activity.
Approximately 75% of adults in England aged between 45 years and 74 years are overweight or obese* and this shocking statistic is similar throughout the World. StepTribe aim is to make physical activity more appealing so that we can tackle the inactivity crises which is the fourth biggest killer according to the Lancet**
StepTribe can be found in Hall 6 at stand 6C31.2 at 4YFN.
